Paper Shredding Event to Benefit Senior Services
Documents, newspapers, magazines, paperbacks accepted Saturday.

A Fall Community Shred fundraiser is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Chatham Train Station parking lot on Fairmount Avenue, Senior Services of the Chathams has announced.
The public is invited to participate, and the cost is $5 per standard box or brown paper grocery bag. Newspapers, magazines and paperback books also are accepted. Money raised from the event will be used to fund wellness programs at the Senior Center.
“Our Spring Shred event was so successful, and as soon as it was over, people started calling to ask when we would be offering this service again," executive director Pam Mansfield said in a news release. "This is the perfect solution to get rid of personal documents in a confidential way."
