• Top-Ranked Chatham Girls Swimmers Dance Before and After 106-64 Win vs. No. 6 Trinity Hall; Cougars Pile Up 4136 Power Points (tapinto.net) — Chatham High School’s girls swim team, ranked No. 1 in New Jersey, extended its winning streak to 27 meets with a dominant 106–64 victory over No. 6 Trinity Hall in New Providence. The Cougars posted the state’s top power-point total this season, with standout swims and multiple Meet of Champions qualifying times from veterans and a strong freshman class.
   

• Community Invited  to Start 2026 with 'First Day Walk' at Loantaka (tapinto.net) — Chatham and Madison families are invited to kick off 2026 with a 2.5‑mile First Day Walk at Loantaka Brook Reservation and Giralda Farms Preserve, hosted by Scouting America Troop 280. The girls troop, which includes members from Chatham, will guide participants anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with a small fee supporting local conservation projects and earning walkers a custom event pin.
   

• Huge change at N.J. high school will let teens sleep a little later (nj.com subscription) — A major Somerset County district is pushing back Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s start time to 8 a.m. in 2026–27, part of a broader schedule overhaul to support student sleep and bus efficiency. For Chatham residents, the story notes Chatham High School already made a similar move three years ago, shifting its start from 7:40 to 8:20 a.m.
