Paving of Lot Affected by Power Lines Begins
School Avenue lot was used for overflow Chatham High School parking, Colony Pool.

A parking lot once used by Colony Pool members and for overflow Chatham High School parking is closer to being able to hold cars again.
Crews on Wednesday started paving the lot along School Avenue, Chatham Township Committeewoman Kathy Abbott said.
PSE&G said the township had to pave the lot before cars could park there again.
The lot falls within PSE&G's right-of-way for their utility poles, and, in connection with its recent power line project, the company revoked the agreement that allowed the township to use the lot.
PSE&G and township officials eventually worked out an agreement where the township could use the lot again as long as it was paved to the utility company's specifications.
