Police, Colony Pool Club, Team Up For Chatham National Night Out
The yearly event is back, with Chatham Township's fun at the Colony Pool Club and Chatham Borough's at Memorial Park, both on Aug. 3.

CHATHAM, NJ — Food, giveaways and games are just the start of the fun the Chatham Township Police are planning for National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Colony Pool Club.
With National Night Out events around the country making a comeback after many weren’t held in 2020 because of COVID-19, the lineup has come together for Chatham Township’s celebration.
Detective Ronald Anderson, the department’s National Night Out coordinator, said the day kicks off at the Colony Pool Club, at 5 p.m., with food, National Night Out item giveaways and games.

Police vehicles, Emergency Squad rigs and Chatham Township Fire Department trucks are planning to be there. McGruff the Crime Dog is expected to spend time at the pool club, before heading over to the Green Village Fire Department at about 6:45 p.m., Anderson said.
Chatham Borough’s National Night Out is the same date and time, taking place in Chatham Borough’s Memorial Park.

The National Night Out initiative is held throughout the country on the same night, with police departments everywhere planning festivals, barbecues, block parties and other celebrations, in the towns that departments serve. Read more here.
