Reelect Choi & Ewald - Strong, smart, effective
Chatham needs smart, strong & competent leaders. Reelect Choi & Ewald to the Township Committee.
TO THE EDITOR:
This Nov. 4, I urge my friends and neighbors to vote to re-elect Mayor Mike Choi and Stacey Ewald to the Chatham Township Committee. Let me tell you why.
I’ve been following Chatham Township elections for a while now. Over the years, I’ve seen our local politics swing between thoughtful and constructive and needlessly combative. That’s why I was so glad when Stacey and Mike first ran for the Township Committee. We needed leaders who would focus on the work, not the drama.

Since then, Stacey and Mike have done just that. They’ve strengthened our township’s finances, protected our AAA bond rating, and brought in millions in grant funding—all while keeping services running smoothly. They’ve invested in public safety with upgraded fire trucks and police vehicles, improved our roads and sidewalks, and made real progress on our state mandated affordable housing mandates while making developers pay their fair share. They’ve also preserved open space, launched the Colony Pool renovation, and made parks and playgrounds more welcoming. Mike, now serving as our current mayor, and Stacey, who served as mayor in 2021 and 2024, have shown what steady, thoughtful leadership looks like.
If you care about good planning, respectful governance, and leaders who put the community first, Stacey and Mike deserve your vote this November. They’ve proven that local government can be effective and civil.
