Mondays can be a drag, but with all the Valentine's Day events happening in town, you have every reason to head out and enjoy yourself. And we've got a variety of ways for you to do that listed right here:
- You need to know how to dress for the weather: In spite of winds between 7 and 40 miles an hour, the National Weather Service predicts a high of 51 degrees Monday. Bring an umbrella, though, for a chance of sprinkles and flurries after 4 p.m.
- You need to know about roses (and charity!): The Suburban Chiropractic Center is holding a free drawing for Chatham residents. The winner will get delivered to the person of their choice, or in lieu of flowers a donation will be made to the Community Food Bank.
- You need to know about, believe it or not, swimming pools: The will vote on a resolution to transfer funds for the purpose of immediately beginning the process of making improvements to the municipal pool during their meeting tonight at the municipal building tonight at 7:30 p.m.
- You need to know where to eat: Though the eatery is usually closed Mondays, Café Beethoven will be open today for reservations only, and offers a special prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day.
- You need to know about heart health: Monday is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day, and with that in mind you might also want to know that approximately 9 out of 1,000 babies born have some type of congenital heart disorder, according to the American Heart Association.
