Sorriso Kitchen Calls On Community To Help Ukraine Refugees
Two Sorriso Kitchen employees from Ukraine are collected goods to send to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees.

CHATHAM, NJ —Two Ukrainian American workers at a Chatham breakfast and brunch restaurant are gathering goods to send to fleeing refugees in Poland.
Two members of the Sorriso Kitchen family are from Ukraine and they are working with the restaurant at 252 Main St. and the community to send needed supplies to Ukrainians fleeing their home after it was attacked.
"If you've been to our place in the past several years, chances are you've had the pleasure of being served by Val and Vlad," Sorriso Kitchen posted on Facebook.

Sorriso Kitchen is asking the community to help Val and Vlad serve their people now by donating goods they will collect and personally ship to Poland. The social media post said items will be distributed into Ukraine and some kept at the border, as the need arises.
The most-needed items are listed on an Amazon link. Topping the list is Bleedstop first aid powder. Also important, the restaurant said, are warm clothes for children and adults diapers, baby formula, work gloves, first aid kits, and things like Tylenol, bandages, and hard neck collars.

Val was on-site at the restaurant Sunday collecting donations, planning to ship them Monday. Those who want to help can continue to donate on Amazon.
"From all of us and especially from Val and Vlad, a very heartfelt thank you. We as Americans can't imagine the type of fear and despair they carry," Sorriso Kitchen's post read. "Please keep their family members and the Ukrainian people in your prayers."
