The Service honors St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, who demonstrated a profound love for nature and all its creatures. The Rev. Ellen Kohn-Perry will lead prayers and bless each animal, expressing gratitude for the companionship, comfort and joy they bring people’s lives.

Animals of all kinds, and their humans are welcome to attend the service which begins at 12:30 pm on the front lawn. Dogs are required to be on a leash; cats and all other pets can attend in contained enclosures or travel bags. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the lobby of the church.
