How do you know the teacher?

I worked with Laura for seven years as her Paraprofessional in an ABA PreK class in Chatham. She has become a really good friend.

What does this person teach?

Laura is the Lead teacher in a preschool class with students ages 3-5 yrs old with Autism.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Laura is such an amazing teacher! Laura has patience, empathy and kindness. She teaches students ages 3-5 with Autism. Laura gives her heart and soul to her job everyday and cares so much about her students. Laura is always reinventing the wheel trying to get the most out of teaching her students. Each student has different goals and Laura is always working so hard to help her students achieve their goals. She really has a heart of gold. The progress these students make is amazing. Laura’s dedication to her students and their families is outstanding and says it all!!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Laura wears many hats. Not only is she a dedicated and hard working teacher, but she has a husband and three children who she is committed to and friends that know they can depend on her. She’s definitely a superwoman!!
