Village Play Cafe Opens In Chatham

CHATHAM, NJ — The Village Play Cafe, a new play space for children, had its grand opening in Chatham this past week.

The Village Play Cafe has a cafe with children friendly seating, a large play area, parent-child classes, and parties and private events for little ones.

"We know life with little ones doesn’t always go as planned. Our classes are structured; yet flexible, and our open play is available to you whenever it suits your schedule. Healthy snacks and gourmet beverages are available so that you can feel good about nourishing yourself and your little ones while you’re at The Village. We look forward to bringing endless opportunities for socialization, learning and play to both you and your children!" the owners said on the website.

According to their website, the play section offers the following:

Our bustling village includes a grocery store, fire station, veterinary clinic, and a playhouse, where children can tap into their imaginations to become whomever they want to be. Take a cozy coupe for a spin, then drive over to the gas station and fill-er-up. Is your little one into challenging themselves through physical play? Head over to the jungle gym for some crawling, sliding and climbing. For quieter exploration, kids can read in the book nook, tackle a puzzle, or try their hand at other sensory games and toys that encourage creative thinking and problem solving.

Classes are offered six days a week and range from cooking to art to yoga and beyond. Open play rates are $15 for children between 1 and 5, and $10 for children under one. Siblings under one are free. An unlimited play membership for one child is $105, and a family plan is $190. The eight week session rate for classes is $180, and drop-ins are $30 when available. Party packages start at $350.
