1 Killed In Crash On I-295 In Cherry Hill: Police

One person was ejected from a car and killed in a crash on I-295 in Cherry Hill Tuesday morning, according to New Jersey State Police.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — One person was killed after being ejected from their car in a crash on I-295 in Cherry Hill early Tuesday morning, police said.

The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m., when a Honda went off the road while traveling south on I-295, struck a guardrail and became disabled in the center lane facing north, according to New Jersey State Police.

The car was then struck by a Chevrolet passenger car that was traveling south, causing the driver of the Honda to be ejected, police said. The driver was then hit by a Toyota passenger car that was also traveling south on the highway, police said. A Ford passenger car then also struck the driver, police said.

Police have not yet identified the victim, pending notification of next-of-kin. The Chevrolet driver suffered moderate injuries, and the drivers of the Toyota and Ford were not injured, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
