$2.4M Road Project In Cherry Hill To Begin Wednesday
The reconstruction project on Evesham Road through several towns, including Cherry Hill, is expected to run through early summer.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — A $2.4 million road reconstruction project on Evesham Road begins Wednesday, according to Camden County officials.
The project - which will encompass Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Somerdale, Lawnside and Magnolia - will include the reconstruction of the roadway, the installation of handicap accessible ramps, concrete curbs, and new driveway aprons.
Through a shared services agreement with Cherry Hill Township, the traffic signal and pedestrian signal equipment at the intersection of Evesham and Burnt Mill Roads will be fully upgraded.

The 1.1-mile project starts at the intersection of King Street east of the White Horse Pike and extends 500 feet past the intersection of Evesham and Burnt Mill Roads.
“Improving our roadway infrastructure while increasing safety is one of the best investments we can make in our county,” Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “Please use caution any time you are driving through a construction area and be aware of temporary directional signs or construction personnel.”

The project begins Wednesday and is slated to run through the early part of next summer, according to officials. Work is scheduled to pause for several months in the winter. The exact timing of the project is dependent upon weather and other factors.
