Arrested Development Concert Time Changed Due To Stormy Forecast In Camden

With inclement weather expected Monday night, the Grammy-winning hip-hop group will take the stage earlier. See the latest forecast.

CAMDEN, NJ — One of the most recognizable names in Camden County's summer-concert slate will perform at a new time Monday because of inclement weather in the forecast.

Hip-hop group Arrested Development's show at Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden will begin at 7 p.m. Monday. The show was originally slated for 8 p.m.

Forecasters expect showers and thunderstorms to begin Monday night in Camden County. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. (See the full forecast below.)

The NWS's hourly forecast for the City of Camden shows a chance of rain at 7 p.m., before likely rainfall and a chance of thunder at 8 p.m.

Arrested Development's show is part of Camden County Rocks, which features a series of outdoor summer concerts organized by the county. The group emerged in 1992 with multi-platinum debut album "3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of..." before winning two Grammy Awards the following year.

Here's the National Weather Service's latest forecast for Camden:

  • Monday afternoon: Partly sunny, with a high near 90. South wind around 5 mph.
  • Monday night: Showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 74. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
