CHERRY HILL, NJ — Vocalist and Cherry Hill native Natalia Albertini wowed the judges — especially Snoop Dogg — during her audition on NBC's "The Voice."

Albertini's blind audition aired Monday. The vocalist impressed Snoop Dogg — one of the show's judges — as soon as she began singing her rendition of Irene Cara's "Out Here On My Own."

During blind auditions, the show's judges face away from the contestant as they perform. Each judge can press their button during the performance to turn around, indicating that they'd like to select the singer to their "team."

The four judges — Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé and Niall Horan — will each select 12 singers during blind auditions. In total, 48 vocalists will advance to the battles in Season 28.

Snoop Dogg turned around right as Albertini, 24, began singing. McEntire soon followed, giving Albertini the option to join either judge's team — she chose Snoop.

Although Bublé and Horan didn't turn around, they were both impressed with Albertini's vocals.

Snoop Dogg touted Albertini's range and composure.

"I can hear the R&B and the pop," Snoop Dogg said. "You were so calm and so relaxed."

Albertini was born and raised in Cherry Hill. She graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 2019 and earned a degree from Berklee College of Music four years later.

She moved back home after graduation and has continued pursuing her dream.

"Inspired by soulful icons like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Norah Jones, she explored every genre she could, from pop and R&B to musical theater, church choir, and dance," her website says.
