Festival Canceled In Cherry Hill Due To Rain In Forecast

The twice-yearly gathering will return later this summer.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A popular outdoor gathering in Cherry Hill has been canceled because of expected rain.

The Al Fresco Affair, which brings food trucks and live music to Croft Farm, was set to take place from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday.

The twice-yearly event will return Aug. 28 for its second planned date.

Here's the National Weather Service's forecast for Cherry Hill as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday:

  • Thursday: Showers. High near 57. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Thursday night: Showers likely, mainly before 1 a.m. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 50. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Friday: A slight chance of showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
