The training program is aimed at helping community members become bilingual patient navigators or assist in their journey to become a medical interpreter. It is being offered at no cost through a Jefferson Health language services grant.
These self-paced, online Medical Spanish and Medical English courses are mobile-friendly with 10-15 minute modules that fit into busy schedules. They focus on practicing medical terminology through authentic patient scenarios so participants can help Spanish-speaking community members overcome language barriers to get the care they need.
