East Girls Tennis Grabs No. 2 Seed in State Tournament

Cherry Hill East is once again near the top of the bracket in the girls tennis tournament after getting slotted second behind Lenape during the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) seeding meeting Monday.

The Cougars, who are 5-1 on the season, are slated to host Southern Regional in the first round of the South Jersey, Group 4 tournament, which begins Thursday. Lenape, who lost to East in the tournament last fall, draws No. 16 Williamstown to start.

East's lone loss this season came to Bishop Eustace, which is seeded No. 2 in the Non-Public South A bracket.
