East, West Field Hockey Battle to a Tie [Photos]

Not even sudden death could decide the Cherry Hill East-West rivalry Monday.

Knotted at 1-1 after regulation, the schools' field hockey teams both had chances in overtime, but—as with a 2-2 game last fall—even an extra period wasn't enough to decide a winner.

After a scoreless first half, West struck first, getting a goal from Katie Stetser off a corner just under four minutes after the start of the second half.

East piled up a handful of corners after that without success, until Megan Thompson hammered home a rebound for the equalizer.
