Fall Into the Arts Photo Deadline Wednesday

The juried show opens this weekend.

Photographers who want to get a shot at being a part of Cherry Hill’s annual Fall into the Arts juried show will have to act fast—intake night for the annual show is Wednesday.

Entrants into the competition can submit up to three framed photographs, which have to have been made in the last three years, with an entry fee of $10 per photo.

Photos can be digital or film, and digital manipulation is permissible under the show’s rules, which only require any manipulated photos to not contain elements from stock art.

The jury recommends photographers use standard white mats and black frames, but only require photos be wired for hanging, and frames can’t be clip frames or shadow boxes. The maximum size for the entire work is 50 by 50 inches, and art can’t exceed 30 pounds.

Because the show is a juried event, not all work will be selected to be hung; photographers will be notified by email, and entrance fees are non-refundable.

The show offers five prizes—a $200 award for first place, $100 for second, $50 for third and two $25 honorable mentions.

Photographers can drop off their entries at Croft Farm between 4 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, with entrance fees payable by check to Cherry Hill Township.

Award winners will be announced at the opening reception Saturday night at Croft Farm, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
