Fatal Shooting In Camden Co. Under Investigation: Police
Authorities are investigating a fatal daytime shooting that took place Sunday afternoon in Camden City, officials said.
CAMDEN, NJ - Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a Woodlynne man on Sunday afternoon in Camden City, officials said.
At around 4:12 p.m., Camden County police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at the 900 block of Newton Avenue, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said in a joint statement.
A victim suffering from a gunshot wound at Cooper University Hospital was reported around the same time, MacAulay and Rodriguez said.

The gunshot victim was later identified as Daniel Rivera, 27, who was pronounced dead at approximately 11:17 p.m. that evening.
The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
