Flash Flood Warning For South Jersey As Thunderstorms Hit Region
The storms could bring 2 to 4 inches of rain in the span of an hour.
SOUTH JERSEY — A flash flood warning was issued for part of South Jersey on Friday as thunderstorms move through the region.
The warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m. Friday. The impacted area includes the northwestern portions of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties, along with southwestern Mercer County and northeastern Salem County.
Thunderstorms began producing heavy rain on late Friday morning, producing an inch of rain.

Two to 4 inches or rain could fall in the span of an hour, with an additional 1 to 1.5 inches possible.
If you encounter flooded roads, turn around. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles, according to the National Weather Service.
