Free Electronics Recycling, Shredding at Katz JCC Sunday

Almost anything with a plug can be recycled at the 3-hour event.

Cherry Hill residents can get rid of old electronics and shred that decades' worth of bank statements at a free recycling event at the Katz JCC Sunday.

Sponsored by the township, the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and Sustainable Cherry Hill, the 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. event will take in almost anything with a plug—leave the large appliances, smoke detectors, TVs and CRT monitors at home—for e-recycling by Eforce Recycling of Philadelphia, and anything with a hard drive or other storage media will be either wiped or physically destroyed.

Secure shredding is also being offered by Recall.
