Man Shoots His Brother Dead, Leaves Victim On Sidewalk In Camden: Authorities

The suspect shot his older brother in broad daylight, authorities said.

CAMDEN, NJ — A man shot and killed his brother in broad daylight Saturday in Camden, authorities said.

Anarkis Delgado, 28, shot Raymond Delgado around 11:10 a.m., according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. Officers reached the scene and found the victim on the sidewalk of the 500 block of Pearl Street, officials said.

Raymond Delgado, 29, of Camden, was brought to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 12:30 p.m.

Detectives identified the shooter as Anarkis Delgado, who later turned himself in to police, authorities said.

The motive behind the alleged shooting wasn't immediately clear.

Anarkis Delgado was charged with first-degree murder and several second-degree weapons offenses. He was jailed in the Camden County Correctional Facility.
