Retired Camden Co. Officer, 48, Mourned After Battle With Cancer
Sgt. Matthew Rulli served the Merchantville Police Department for 17 years, according to his obituary.
MERCHANTVILLE, NJ — Matthew Rulli, a retired Merchantville police sergeant, died Friday after a bout with cancer. He was 48.
Rulli began his law-enforcement career in Laurel Springs before joining the Merchantville Police Department, according to his obituary. He battled Stage 4 pancreatic cancer for 38 months, according to the MPD.
In December 2020, Rulli was promoted to sergeant. He retired in July 2021.

"Sgt. Rulli will be remembered fondly for his years of dedication and service to the Borough and Merchantville residents," the Borough of Merchantville's Facebook page says.
