Shoplifter Packed Brass Knuckles, Police Say

A Philadelphia woman who tried to shoplift hundreds of dollars from a store in the Cherry Hill Mall was carrying a prohibited weapon at the time, Cherry Hill Police said.

Mia D. Davis, of the 2700 block of West Montgomery Avenue, had brass knuckles on her when she was arrested while trying to leave J.C. Penney without paying for $916 worth of merchandise on Sept. 20, police said.

In addition to being charged with shoplifting, Davis was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
