CHERRY HILL, NJ — A virtual-reality center has closed in Cherry Hill as it relocates within Camden County.

In late May, Escape Virtual Reality estimated that the move would take about a month. But they haven't posted an update since, so it's unclear when the new place will open.

Patch contacted the business with questions and will update with any response.

Escape Virtual Reality is moving to the Evergreen Plaza strip mall (600-624 N White Horse Pike).

Although Escape Virtual Reality has left Cherry Hill, another immersive-gaming center is coming soon.

Activate Gaming, an international company, is coming to the township. Activate describes itself as "the world's first active gaming facility," having participants jump, climb and collaborate with interactive technology in different game rooms.

Earlier in the year, an Activate spokesperson estimated a November opening. It will operate at the site of the former Rite Aid on Route 38 and Chapel Avenue.
