William Shatner To Visit Cherry Hill

Best known for portraying Captain Kirk in the original "Star Trek" series, Shatner will appear at this summer's Monster-Mania Con.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The captain who led the starship Enterprise where no man has gone before will make his way to Cherry Hill.

William Shatner will appear this summer at Monster-Mania Con — a semi-annual convention celebrating horror films and pop culture.

Shatner, 93, is best known for portraying Captain Kirk in the original "Star Trek" series. His seven-decade career has spanned genres, including roles in two classic episodes of "The Twilight Zone" and as the title character in 1980s police drama "T.J. Hooker."

His face also inspired the mask worn by Michael Myers in the "Halloween" franchise.

Shatner will be among several celebrity guests appearing at Monster Mania-Con, which runs from Aug. 2-4 at DoubleTree by Hilton (2349 Marlton Pike W, Cherry Hill). Visit Monster-Mania Con's website to purchase tickets and find out more.
