1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured In Dirt Bike Crash In Burlington Co.: Police

Their bikes collided on a dirt roadway in the woods, authorities said.

TABERNACLE, NJ — A dirt biker died and another was seriously injured after their vehicles collided Friday in Burlington County, authorities said.

Both men were operating dirt bikes when they crashed into each other around 7:25 p.m. on Tabernacle Township's Goosepond Road — a dirt roadway in the woods — according to State Police.

One of the riders — Joseph Hartman, 23, of Tabernacle — sustained fatal injuries, police said.

The other — a 20-year-old man from Shamong — came away with "serious" injuries, according to State Police. His condition wasn't immediately clear on Monday morning.

The crash remains under investigation.
