BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey State Police are investigating a double-shooting in Burlington County Tuesday morning.

Additionally, an ambulance that responded to the scene was reportedly involved in a crash.

Two people were injured in the shooting at a trailer park in Southampton that was reported at about 5:37 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police.

Both people were taken to an area hospital, but the extent of their injuries was unknown late Tuesday morning, police said. There is no threat to the public, police said.

The shooting was the result of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman, family members told Fox 29.

An ambulance that was responding to the scene crashed while on Route 206, according to CBS 3. It wasn't clear if the ambulance was on its way to the scene or leaving the scene, but one person was taken to the hospital.

The shooting victims were flown to the hospital, according to NBC 10.
