5 Candidates File To Run For Cinnaminson Board Of Education
The nominating petitions are in, and Cinnaminson will have a contested school-board election this fall.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The nominating petitions are in, and Cinnaminson will have a contested school-board election this fall.
The Cinnaminson Township School District will have four seats available on its Board of Education: three positions up for full terms and another position with a term that will expire after one year.
Four candidates filed to run for the three seats with full, three-year terms. Meanwhile, Board Member Daniel Evans is running unopposed to retain his seat.

The board appointed Evans to fill a vacancy that opened up earlier in the year. As such, the original three-year term for the member he replaced, has one year remaining. So the district must hold a separate election to determine who fills the remainder of that term, as state law requires
Here are the Cinnaminson Township School District's full-term candidates (three-year positions, vote for three):

- Christine Trampe
- John Meeker
- Jeremiah "JJ" Horigan
Kenney is an incumbent. The other two seats up for election currently belong to Board Members Daniel P. Gaffney and Kathleen Quinn.
Horigan is the only candidate who submitted a slogan that will appear on the ballot — "Special Education Reform."

Monday marked the deadline for school-board candidates around the state to file petitions to get on the ballot for the upcoming elections. New Jersey's general elections take place Nov. 7.
