Alleged Biting Robber Tops Weird Crime News
Also, a flea market argument gets way out of hand, police say.

Each week, Patch combs through the more shocking, surprising and often absurd alleged criminal acts and police-related incidents that unfold around the region. Here’s what went on in the last week for OMG PD.
Stunning argument: What started out as a dispute between two women at the Palmyra Flea Market ended up as a near-tazing, police said. Fateemah Johnson, 32, of Philadelphia, whipped out a stun gun in the middle of what had been just a verbal fight, police said, and ended up arrested on multiple weapons charges.
And he still looks surprised: A Woodbury man who was arrested earlier this year after allegedly robbing a convenience store landed himself even deeper, authorities said, after skipping an Aug. 7 court date. Branden Potter was picked up two days later by the the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Fugitive Unit, adding yet another charge for him to face.
From bad to worse: Pennsauken resident Jessica L. Paolini had already been arrested after allegedly getting caught in the middle of a burglary, and now Evesham Township Police say she was also driving a car stolen in Marlton at the time.
Red-light refunds: If you got ticketed in towns like Gloucester Township or Cherry Hill, where red-light cameras have been the subject of lawsuits, there's good news—you could be getting a refund. There's also bad news: It's a refund that'll get you a Chipotle burrito and a root beer, and that's about it.
SSA zombie: Michael Shelton had a pretty good scheme—when his father died, he set up a bank account to keep getting his dad's Social Security benefits, and no one noticed. For two decades. When Shelton finally got caught, he'd stolen more than $200,000, and now he'll have to pay it all back—plus spend a year in federal prison.
McGruff he ain't: While robbing an adult bookstore clerk of $48 in Haddon Township, Colin R. Gooch didn't just use his fists and feet, police said—Gooch also chomped down on the clerk, biting him twice. The Woodstown resident was caught while hiding in an SUV in Camden, police said, and is in jail on $85,500 full cash bail.
