New BBQ Joint Opening Soon In Burlington County

WILLINGBORO, NJ — Burlington County is getting some new BBQ. 1911 Smoke House Barbecue — a favorite in Trenton — plans to open a restaurant in Willingboro soon.

1911 Smoke House has a small restaurant in the state capital and opened a second location last January in Newark Liberty International Airport. As Trenton's premier barbecue joint, the eatery touts flavorful smoked meats, locally sourced ingredients and sides that "will melt in your mouth." The Trenton eatery also serves cocktails, celebrating at 19:11 every day with a toast and a free shot for everyone of legal-drinking age in the building.

The newest location will be in the Willingboro Town Center shopping plaza at 4376 Route 130, Unit 4638, Willingboro.

1911 is "aggressively shooting" for a mid-September grand opening, according to Maurice Hallett, who owns 1911 Smoke House in Trenton. The business recently received building permits from Willingboro Township and expects the buildout to take about three weeks, Hallett told Patch.
