Cinnaminson Planning Board Chair, Ex-Mayor Dies
William J. 'Bill' O'Connor was a longtime Cinnaminson resident and public official. He was 68.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — William J. "Bill" O'Connor — Cinnaminson's Planning Board chair and former mayor — died on Thursday. He was 68.
O'Connor was a longtime Cinnaminson resident who held various public roles. He was on the Township Committee from 1998-2005, serving as mayor during some of that time.
In 2021, he was appointed to the township Planning Board and most recently served as the board's chairperson.

O'Connor was active in community sports, particularly baseball, and enjoyed Philadelphia sports and spending time with friends and family, according to his obituary. He worked for the Delaware River Port Authority for 35 years.
A cause of death was not released.

O'Connor's current Planning Board term began in January and was set to expire at the end of 2026. Vacancies on the board are filled by appointment.
