Cinnaminson Police Hosting Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 21
The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson police will host a National Prescription Drug Take-Back event on Oct. 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the police department announced.
The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription pills.
Cinnaminson residents who have old prescriptions or over-the-counter medications are encouraged to drop the items into the collection box located in the lobby of the police station, 900 Manor Road.

Vaping Pens will be accepted as long as the battery is removed. No intra-venous solutions, injectibles or syringes will be accepted.
Medications may be disposed either in the original container or directly into the collection box. Residents who dispose of their drugs in the original container should remove prescription labels to protect personal identifying information.

Liquid products, such as cough medicine, should be disposed of in the original container with the cap tightly sealed. For more information, contact Cinnaminson police at 856-829-6667.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible method for disposing of unneeded and expired prescription pills.
The Cinnaminson Police Department has a permanent Prescription Drug Box. Citizens can drop off their medication at any time.
