What drove you to seek public office?
What drove me to seek public office was hearing that there had been a resignation on the Cinnaminson Board of Education. I had applied for the open seat, interviewed with the president, Laura Fitzwater, as well as a few other board members and members of the administrative staff and was selected to fill it. I felt that my work with large budgets, my ability to plan ahead and my work with large teams might be of service.

What sets you apart from the rest of the candidates?
I feel that my professional experiences of having to look at the big picture and plan for different possibilities sets me apart. I always have to prepare as best as I can for my projects, but also to be ready for any possible changes or emergencies should they arise during a shoot or an edit.
What's the biggest issue facing Cinnaminson schools, and how would you address it?
I feel that the biggest issue facing Cinnaminson Schools right now, and I feel that it is a good “problem” to have, would be the growth of the district. We’ve grown by over 16% in the last 10 years and we are working on ways to expand our schools without impacting our budget or over-burdening the taxpayers.
With New Jersey's school-funding formula (S-2) ending after this fiscal year, it's unknown how much each school district’s state aid will fluctuate thereafter. If Cinnaminson sees a significant decrease in aid, how should the district maintain its standard of education without overburdening local taxpayers?
I have the utmost confidence in our business administrator who has to go through our budget with a fine toothed comb to verify that we are getting the most out of our funding. Since we are also taxpayers in the district we take the time to determine that we’re still providing our students with everything that they'll need to succeed, while not overburdening our tax payers.
What's your favorite thing about the Cinnaminson school system?
My favorite thing about the Cinnaminson School District, outside of the teachers, staff and the administration, is honestly everything that the district offers its students. I feel that the district puts our students in the best possible position to succeed in life.
