The township has received a $103,000 grant from the county to make several improvements to Wood Park next year, including the addition of a quarter-mile jogging path encircling the park.

Township committee accepted the grant Monday, which, in addition to the path, will also be used to add fitness stations, picnic tables and shade trees to the park, Committeeman John McCarthy explained. The estimated cost of the project is slightly more than $102,000.

The township will fund the project up front using bonds, and use the grant as reimbursement.

Work is not expected to start until next spring.
