John Hawley was driving westbound on Quaker Bridge Road when his Toyota passenger car collided with a Ford F-350 that was traveling southbound on Route 206, Marchan said.
The Toyota overturned into Atsion Lake, which is located just off the and protected by a guardrail.
Route 206 was closed for several hours after the incident.
Marchan could not confirm John and Theresa Hawley's relationship. But publicly available information indicates they were a married couple.
