The retro-themed restaurant chain plans to open its 1st Burlington County eateries in the next year.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A retro-themed restaurant chain featuring burgers and frozen custard will make its way to Cinnaminson. Township officials recently approved Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers for Route 130.

Freddy's has hundreds of eateries throughout the nation and plans to grow its New Jersey presence. Two Burlington County locations are in the works — one in Burlington Township and the other in Cinnaminson, according to a Freddy's spokesperson.

Barring any unforeseen delays, the Burlington location is on track to open in January. The Cinnaminson restaurant (1107 Route 130 S) is in the early stages of development. Construction should begin sometime before the end of the year, with a mid-2024 opening.
