Free Concert, Recognition for Baseball Champs Highlight Week Ahead
Also, you'll want to stay inside as much as possible this week.

Prepare to be blasting that A/C all week. An excessive heat warning is in effect for our area over the next several days, with temperatures expected in the mid- to upper 90s.
On the bright side, there's plenty to do this week that will keep you cool, without jacking up your own electric bill.
Township committee holds its only meeting/s in July on Monday night, with a work session at 6:30, followed by the regular meeting at 7:30. The agendas for both meetings are fairly light (see attached PDFs), though Mayor Ben Young will present a proclamation honoring the state championship-winning Cinnaminson Pirates baseball team at the regular meeting.
Committee is also expected to authorize capital improvements to the tune of $2.2 million, and bond approximately $2.1 million.
It's a double dose of local governance this week, as the Cinnaminson Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in room 120 at the middle school. The highlight of the meeting looks to be a presentation from architect Robert Garrison concerning the district's multiple capital projects, including the high school. The board is also expected to authorize a grant application to the Department of Education for the proposed projects.
Check out the attached PDF for the full agenda.
On the lighter side of things, stop by Wood Park Thursday at 7 p.m. for another free concert. This time, it's the Manhattan Dolls, a “girl group” tribute band with mixer hits from the '60s and '70s.
The rain location—and possibly the excessive heat location—is nearby at the Cinnaminson Middle School auditorium.
And if you're looking for more arts and entertainment, the Burlington County Footlighters will hold "Luna-Palooza" from 12-4 p.m. Saturday. The event—featuring live music, a moonbounce, face-painting, picnic food and drinks and more—will benefit the Footlighters Intern Company's production of "One Giant Leap," premiering in August.
