BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Here's a list of upcoming events in Burlington County, courtesy of our friends at Visit South Jersey, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, and the Outer Coast Plain Wine Region in South Jersey.
Whitesbog Historic Village is tucked deep into the forests of the Pine Barrens, with ghosts lurking around every tree. Learn more about them during the village’s Legends, Lores and Lanterns event at 5 p.m. Friday night. Meet the historic ghosts of the area and interact with them on your own as you grab a lantern and head out into the night. There will also be a camp fire and s’mores. The General Store will be open to purchase local handcrafted items, as well as jams and jellies, just in time for the holiday season. Time slots start at 5 p.m. Attendees must arrive during their scheduled time slot. Attendees will not be permitted to check in until that time slot. Every member of a group must all have the same time slot ticket in order to be admitted together. Check in is in front of the General Store. Tickets will not be sold on site. They must be purchased in advance. Whitesbog Historic Village is located in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, and all visitors are required to follow NJ DEP/Parks and Forestry guidelines. The Promenade at Sagemore in Marlton invites all to the annual Tree Lighting Celebration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday night. The event marks Santa’s arrival, and will include trolley rides and holiday music and performances. Rastelli’s Market Fresh, The Promenade at Sagemore restaurants and more will provide refreshments. Join the countdown at sundown to light the tree with special VIP guests as they honor Marlton’s own Operation Yellow Ribbon. Battleship New Jersey in Camden will host an "adult-oriented tour" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night. The Twilight Adult Tour, led by a member of their curatorial team, will take guests through rarely seen parts of the ship and will showcase the more mature sailor art created over the years, and share some adult stories. Guests can enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or a soft drink after the tour on the Main Deck Portside area and watch the sun set over Philly. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Diggerland in Berlin will host its Winterfest from Nov. 13 through Dec. 28. Each weekend you and your family can enjoy live music, their famous Parade of Machines, specialty food, hayrides and plenty of fun and games. The cost is included in regular admission ticket price.
