Man, 76, Fatally Struck While Crossing Street In Burlington Co: Police

Investigators are seeking witnesses and anyone with pertinent information about the morning crash.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A car fatally struck a man who was crossing the street Tuesday morning in Burlington Township, authorities said.

The man — a 76-year-old Burlington resident — was struck while he crossed the Burlington Bypass at Fountain Avenue just before 6 a.m., police said.

He was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said around 1 p.m. Tuesday. Police withheld the man's name.

The driver of the striking vehicle — a maroon Buick LeSabre — was not injured. They remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
