National Night Out, Concert Series Highlights Week in Cinnaminson

There's plenty of chances for family and friends to have a good time with National Night Out and the concert at Wood Park this week.

Cinnaminson residents are encouraged to get out Tuesday as the township participates in its second annual National Night Out.

Cinnaminson will hold National Night Out along with more than 15,000 other communities in the United States. There will be activities and demonstrations at three locations: Extension Park, Wood Park and New Albany Elementary School. Police and first responders will be on hand at all three locations. The events will begin at 5 p.m. and continue through the evening until 8 p.m.

Cinnaminson Township Committee will have their next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday. A presentation from Networks Plus highlighting the new township website is on tap.

There are only a few more chances to catch Cinnaminson’s summer concert series, which will continue at Wood Park this Thursday. This week features a group with many connections to the town, as the Cinnaminson High School Alumni Band will perform starting at 7 p.m. As always, if it rains, the concert will move to the nearby Cinnaminson Middle School auditorium. The concert is free to everyone.

Cinnaminson Library has a pair of interesting programs coming up this week. On Tuesday night, the library will host a seminar called Declutter: Energy Management 101. The workshop will deal with different kinds of clutter, both with physical things and also the clutter occurring with your work, home and social life. The seminar will begin at 7 p.m.
