Boaters Rescued From Drowning After Watercraft Capsizes In Delaware River
Good samaritans on jet-skis helped them out of the water.

DELANCO, NJ — Boaters were rescued from drowning after their watercraft capsized Friday in the Delaware River off the Burlington County coast.
A sailboat capsized around 5:50 p.m. near Hawk Island in Delanco, officials said. Good samaritans on jet skis saw the boaters, who appeared to be drowning, and got them out of the water.
Firefighters arrived in a raft to assess injuries, but nobody was hurt, according to the Delanco Fire Department.

The scene was turned over to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Hawk Island is an uninhabited peninsula in Delanco with a marina at the mouth of the Rancocas Creek.
