Redevelopment Talks Expected at Planning Meeting

The planning board meets at 7:30 Tuesday night and is expected to again discuss redevelopment of the Route 130 corridor. 

The board recommended in April that several areas along the highway be deemed in need of redevelopment, prompting a number of business owners to voice concerns about the perceived impact on their businesses. 

Last month, township committee decided to remand the aforementioned redevelopment areas back to the planning board for a determination of whether any of them are considered blighted. 

The planning board, which includes Mayor Ben Young and Committeewoman Kathy Fitzpatrick, will meet at the municipal complex at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Check back with Patch Wednesday for a full report.
