
Legendary television personality Dick Clark has died, according to several new outlets, including the Huffington Post. He was 82.
Clark reportedly suffered a heart attack Wednesday, a day after undergoing an outpatient procedure at a Los Angeles area hospital.
Clark had strong area connections, having hosted the popular show American Bandstand in Philadelphia from 1952 until it moved to Hollywood in 1964. He owned a home in Drexel Hill, Delaware County, PA.

In 2004, Clark suffered a stroke and was forced to retire from New Year's Rockin' Eve, an ABC show he created and hosted since 1972. Clark continued to make appearances even though hosting duties were turned over to Ryan Seacrest.
