The Rancocas Woods Shops in Mount Laurel will host a Plant Swap and Shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 14 in their Woodland Gardens. There will be live music, local vendors and food trucks. The Plant Swap is a free community plant exchange and positive environment! As a general rule it’s a give one take one type of policy. What to bring: cuttings, seeds, planters, and anything else you wish to exchange. For more information, visit https://visitsouthjersey.com/events/plant-swap-shop/.
Bordentown will host a three-hour walking food tour in its downtown from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 14. The tour will include historical information about the town during the American Revolution. As you travel down the streets of Bordentown, you’ll see many sights, including the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and the first female sculptor and spy. Head down the block for upscale Italian tapas, where you’ll get to sample several traditional and not-so-traditional items made with a modern twist. Taste authentic coal-fired Neapolitan gourmet pizza with hand-picked ingredients. We encourage you to save room for a flavorful street food treat from an American, Italian and Spanish fusion restaurant. Next, enjoy a classic American favorite with a new culinary touch. Finish up the tour with your favorite and brand new homemade ice cream flavors or chocolates and candy. Reservations are required.
