Walmart Worker Robbed At Gunpoint In Burlington Co. Store: Police

The suspect took out a handgun in the store and demanded money from the register, authorities said.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man was arrested after authorities say he robbed a Walmart employee at gunpoint earlier this month in Burlington Township.

The suspect — later identified as Catrell M. Robinson — threatened an employee who was working at the store's customer service desk on March 9, police said. Robinson took out a handgun and demanded money from the register before fleeing the scene in a vehicle, according to law enforcement.

Burlington Township police say they identified Robinson as the suspect through various investigative techniques. Robinson was arrested on Saturday, according to court records.

Robinson, 38, of Irvington, was charged with robbery with a handgun, theft by unlawful taking, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was placed in the Burlington County Jail, where he will stay pending the results of a detention hearing.
