Deadly Winds Could Hit Union County Monday, Officials Warn

An advisory was sent out Monday morning.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A wind advisory was issued Monday for eastern Union County with gusts that could pose a "threat to life or property," both Cranford and Garwood Police warn.

The alert is effective through 6 p.m.

Dangerous winds continue to follow from the nor'easter storm that began to build on Friday, and could reach as high as 45 miles per hour in some areas.

Residents are asked to secure outdoor objects and anticipate difficult driving conditions.

As of Monday morning, a State of Emergency is still in effect for all 21 counties.
