Funeral For NFL Legend Tony Siragusa To Be Held In Union County
More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the funeral for the Union County native on Wednesday, according to police.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Kenilworth Police are expecting large crowds to attend the funeral of Tony Siragusa on Wednesday — the "hometown hero" and former NFL player for the Baltimore Ravens who recently died.
Siragusa died in his sleep on Wednesday, June 22, Pro Football Network reported last week. He was 55-years-old.
Kenilworth Police announced the wake and funeral arrangements for the Kenilworth native this week. The wake took place on Tuesday at St. Theresa's Church on Washington Ave.

The funeral is set for Wednesday, also at St. Theresa's Church, at 11 a.m.
Police said they are expecting upwards of 5,000 people to attend the wake and funeral. Numerous side streets around St. Theresa's will be closed and re-routed, and police said to make every effort to avoid the area if you are not attending the services.

If attending, police say to consider walking or parking at David Brearley High School and using the complimentary shuttle bus, which will be running all day.
Siragusa grew up in Kenilworth and attended Brearley High School there. In high school, he played football and was also a member of the wrestling team.
Most notably, Siragusa played 12 seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2001. During his time in the NFL, Siragusa recorded 22 sacks and 564 combined tackles, according to NJ.com.
He later spent more than a decade as a sideline analyst for Fox NFL Sunday.
