Originally from Chatham, Chmura released her debut solo album, "Stained... Glass Heart" in 2018.

A review in the Huffington Post said Chmura "retains the unique ability to blend classical elements with pop and rock influences, producing contemporary pop music full of grace, elegance and dynamism."

The Huffington Post also said her voice is "vaguely reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, only more luxuriant, projecting a musing vulnerability and, at the same time, burnished passion."

Her newest single on the EP, called "Leigh," details Chmura's internal struggles with depression, and the music video can be viewed on YouTube below:

The new EP includes five tracks all written by Chmura. She also collaborated with artist Jimmy Gnecco of the band OURS, and long-time creative partner and guitarist, Damien Musto as her producers and engineers for this EP.

Chmura says the inspiration for the title of her new EP came from a quote by Leonard Cohen, "there's a crack in everything, that is how the light gets in."

“Where The Light Gets In sonically represents the imperfections within myself, my writing tends to come from the 'cracks' in my life," Chmura said in a statement. "As I reflect on things that may cause pain in my life, I try to remind myself that there is beauty in the darkness, and light shines more brightly in the dark; this is the overall concept of this EP.”

You can learn more about Chmura and the EP on her website.
